FAQs

Here are some helpful answers to some of our most frequently asked questions. If your question isn’t answered here, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re happy to help!

What activities do you offer for residents?

At Mulberry Care Homes, we believe that activity should be at the centre of the care we provide. The activities offered vary by home, but each day is planned and organised by our teams. Please contact us to find out more.

What are your visiting times?

Friends and family can visit our homes at any reasonable time, day or night. We have no set visiting hours. Guests are welcome in the privacy of bedrooms or in the communal areas of each home.

What are mealtimes like?

All our homes offer three meals a day, as well as snacks, which are available throughout the day.  We use fresh and locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. Meals are served in our restaurant style dining rooms. If residents wish to eat in their room, we will also take their meals to them. Where needed, we are able to adapt to special dietary requirements by prior arrangement.

Can we take a tour of your homes?

Yes. It’s important to spend time visiting a home before you reach any decisions. It’s also best to view alongside the person who will be living in the home, so that they can decide whether they’d be happy there. We encourage you to meet or have a conversation with one of our managers or deputy managers in order to learn more. To arrange your viewing, contact the home directly. They’ll be able to let you know their availability so that you can view the home at a time that suits you.

Can we bring possessions from home/from a loved one’s home?

Yes. It is important to have familiar surroundings so we encourage residents to hang photos, bring their most cherished possessions and make the room theirs. We require all electrical items to be portable appliance tested and will conduct fire risk assessments on any furniture.
